Escape rooms are fun, exciting and challenging activities for friends and family. The aim of the game is to solve the clues and puzzles within the room and escape the room within 60 minutes.
Anyone can participate in an escape room, it’s a great activity for family, friends and work colleagues; escape rooms are also a great team building activity.
No. You are never physically trapped in the room and you are able to get out at any time. The room is also monitored by staff at all times.
All bookings are exclusive to your group. We will never match you up with other people.
Please ensure all team members arrive at the booked time, we do not advise arriving too early as it will not be possible to enter the building before your booked time. It is important to ensure that everyone in the team arrives on time, as being late will affect your game.
Parking is available nearby to the escape room. We recommend parking on Crossfield Road opposite the escape for free (2 hour limit) parking.

It is just a short 5 minute walk from Clacton-on-Sea train station.
No you don’t need to bring anything. However, if you need to wear glasses for reading then we do recommend that you bring your reading glasses as it will make it easier for solving puzzles and entering codes.
This is a live event game and once booked we cannot accept any cancellations or refunds under any circumstances.
If the game is due to be played within the next 7 days we cannot accept any reschedule request under any circumstances.
If your booked game is in more than 7 days time we may be able to help. There is a £25 admin fee that must be paid if a game is rescheduled. Please contact us at info@cluetopia.uk with details of your booking at the earliest possible time, as any transfer of booking date/time would need to be completed 7 days prior to your original booked game.

Wear comfortable clothes, you may find yourself kneeling or crawling in order to find a clue.
Due to the layout and position of the rooms it can make it difficult to access and play in certain rooms, so we recommend contacting us before booking and we will try our best to accommodate for you and your team.
Most of our games are not designed to scare you and are suitable for pregnant players.
However, our horror themed games (The Invitation, The Damned, and Twilight Manor) have parts designed to scare you. These games have age recommendations and are also not recommended for anyone pregnant.
